Socket Head Screws (Internal Drive Screws)
Applications
Internal drive screws (socket head screws) are primarily used in tight or hard-to-access spaces, as installation does not require external access to the screw head. Typical applications include machinery, vehicles, and engine assemblies.
Installation is carried out using:
- L-shaped hex keys (Allen keys)
- Screwdriver-type tools
- Small driving tools (bits)
These screws are available in both fully threaded and partially threaded versions.
Different internal drive types are available, including:
- Hex socket (Allen)
- TORX drive, where force transmission occurs across flat surfaces rather than at corner نقاط, ensuring improved torque transfer and reduced wear
Internal drive screws are typically manufactured from high-strength steel and produced using advanced, mostly non-machining (cold forming) processes on specialized fastener production equipment.
